The Masters Series Homes
In North Ranch, an area of custom single family homes often reserved for the privileged few, lies the more affordable Masters Series community. Surrounded by golf course views and tree lined streets, Masters Series offers all the comforts you’d expect in this price range while still maintaining a down-to-earth quality.
Westlake Village | The Overview
Curious what it’s really like to live in Westlake Village beyond this neighborhood? From lake lifestyle and dining to schools, pricing, and how it compares to nearby towns, here’s the full local breakdown.

Masters Series | Quick Take
North Ranch golf course living without the custom home price. Quiet, established, world class views.
- Lifestyle: Tree-lined streets along the North Ranch Country Club, golf course views, and Stonehaus a short drive away when you want it. Peaceful without being isolated.
- Identity: Single-family homes in North Ranch at a price point that’s more accessible than the surrounding custom estates. Not custom, but well-located and comfortable in a neighborhood that delivers on the North Ranch promise.
- Trade-off: 1988 builds that can feel dated. Some homes still carry late-80s finishes that take real effort to modernize. More tract-like than the custom homes nearby.
- Bottom line: Best for empty nesters, retirees, and buyers who want the serenity and setting of North Ranch without stretching into full custom home territory.

What's To Love
Serenity (when you want it). Right along the North Ranch Country Club, Master Series has the views and peacefulness we so frequently lose in today’s hustle and bustle. Throw on a polo and tee-off on the weekends. Then jump over to Stonehaus Winery for a taste of some of Westlake’s best.
What's Not To Love
The homes can be a bit “tracty” compared to many of the surrounding custom homes. Since peach walls and whitewashed wood have yet to make a comeback, some of the homes can feel a bit dated.

Who Should Look Here
Westlake tends to attract two types of buyers: Those who want to be close to the action, and those looking for more a more peaceful setting. Masters Series attracts the latter. Not necessarily the typical family neighborhood you might expect for homes of this size, however, there is a good mix of some families, empty nesters, and retirees.

MASTERS SERIES FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Most buyers assume homes along the North Ranch Country Club are all custom estates with multi-million-dollar price tags. Masters Series offers single-family homes in the same golf course setting at a much more approachable entry point.
Prices typically run $1.5M-$2.5M. The range reflects significant variation in lot position, views, and how much updating has been done. Two homes at similar square footage can differ considerably.
Many homes back to or overlook the fairways, creating a quieter, more open feel than neighborhoods with homes directly behind one another. Even buyers who don’t golf often appreciate the extra privacy and mature landscaping.
These are late-1980s homes, so interiors vary considerably. Some have been extensively remodeled with modern finishes, while others still reflect their original design. Touring several homes is the best way to understand the range.
The surrounding custom homes in North Ranch run significantly higher. Masters Series fills a gap: single-family homes in the same golf course setting at a more accessible price. The trade-off is that these are production homes rather than customs, which shows in the layouts and finishes compared to what’s around them.
Many buyers are empty nesters, retirees, or professionals who want the North Ranch lifestyle without stepping into the price range of the surrounding custom estates. The golf course setting is usually the deciding factor.
These are tract style homes surrounded by custom estates. The location is exceptional, but buyers expecting custom architecture and luxury finishes throughout may be disappointed unless they’re looking at a remodeled home.
