Oakbrook Highlands keeps the benefits of Lang Ranch without wearing the pricetag. The houses are comparable in size, but you get a bigger (even pool sized) yard. There’s a wide variety of layouts and the curb appeal is eye-catching. Oakbrook Plaza is a walkable mile away, and Westlake Village is just over the hill.

Oakbrook Highlands is a great neighborhood for first time homebuyers who value a yard. It’s a neighbourly neighborhood meaning residents generally know each other by name. Your typical neighbor is a good mix of couples, families, and some empty nesters.
What's To Love
We love the value. A similar sized house just a few streets over will cost you quite a bit more.
What's Not To Love
You do save a lot of coin, but the trade off here is the homes are a bit older. The schools are reputable, but not to the standard of Lang Ranch.
