Dos Vientos has the laidback lifestyle familiar to the rest of Conejo Valley. Dos Vientos Park brings the community together with its baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, playground, outdoor seating for parties, and community center. You’ll find a handful of shopping centers close by, but most will take the drive to neighboring towns for the day. Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village are a straight shot down the 101 freeway with tons of restaurants, retail stores, and movie theaters.

You’ll find a full range of single family houses in Dos Vientos from modest homes to gated estates backing the Santa Monica Mountains. While they all share a similar architectural style with a bright and open concept, the layouts can vary drastically. One thing you can count on for sure, is a strong sense of community from street to street.

Condos and Townhomes

Within Dos Vientos is the Aldea Townhome community. It comes with two community pools and walkability to the Village Trader market and a handful of restaurants in the Dos Vientos shopping center. It’s also walking distance to the local school. You’ll find a few different layouts here reaching up to 3 bedrooms offering an affordable option for Dos Vientos housing.

Dos Vientos falls under the Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD). There are 2 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and Newbury Park High School. Sycamore Canyon School is both an elementary and middle school campus and is the “school of residence”. There is a secondary option for both elementary and middle school – Cypress Elementary and Sequoia Middle School. Sycamore Canyon is well sought after and ranks the highest on GreatSchools.org – Cypress Elementary doesn’t fall far behind.

Who Should Look Here

Dos Vientos’ new construction and distinguished schools bring in families from all over, but the location makes it incredibly popular with Amgen employees. Overall, the range in housing options and affordability is much higher than you’ll find in the majority of Conejo Valley. If Westlake Village, Oak Park, and Agoura Hills aren’t fitting into the budget, Dos Vientos just might.

Things to Keep in Mind

Dos Vientos can feel a little secluded. It sits on the furthest end of Newbury Park and you’ll notice a bit of distance from shopping centers and restaurants compared to most neighborhoods in Conejo Valley. Day to day conveniences are still within a short drive and Dos Vientos backs against the Santa Monica Mountains providing some serenity that most will say makes up for the distance. Amgen employees beware your coworkers will likely double as your neighbors.
