CONEJO VALLEY GUY

For over 25  years, I’ve been helping buyers navigate the Conejo Valley, not just finding homes, but understanding neighborhoods, trade-offs, and what actually fits their lifestyle.

My role is to help you feel informed and confident as you move through the process, at a pace that feels right to you.

Buying a home in the Conejo Valley should feel exciting - not overwhelming.

Once you’ve got a feel for the area and where you might want to be, the next step is understanding how the process actually works.

This page walks you through what working with me typically looks like, so you can decide whether it feels like the right fit for you, at your own pace.

HOW I HELP BUYERS

I believe buyers make their best decisions when they feel informed, supported, and never rushed. My job is to help you understand the area, feel confident in your options, and guide you through every step, at a pace that feels right to you.

Here’s what working together typically looks like:

STEP 1

FIRST MEETING & GETTING ORIENTED

After our initial call, we’ll meet in person or over Zoom. We’ll go over a map of the Conejo Valley, talk through the five towns and their differences, review my Buying Guide, and discuss what you’re looking for – along with how the home buying process works in the Conejo Valley.

This meeting is about clarity and alignment, not commitment.

STEP 2

AREA & HOME TOURS

If you’re new to the area or want a refresher, our first time out will focus on driving through neighborhoods that may be a good fit and visiting local amenities, so you can get a real feel for the community. I start this with an Area Tour (click for details).

Going forward, we’ll tour homes that match your priorities. I’ll offer insights, answer questions, and point out things that aren’t always obvious, helping you make well-informed, confident decisions.

STEP 3

OFFERS → CLOSING

When you’re ready, I’ll help you structure and negotiate a strong offer and guide you through escrow, inspections, and closing. As a full-service agent, I work for you – advocating for your interests and helping you avoid pitfalls so you can feel confident every step of the way.

WHAT IT'S LIKE WORKING TOGETHER

When we tour homes, I like to give you your space to look around freely and get a feel of what it would be like to live there. While you’re doing that, I’ll take this time to check for things around the home you may not know to look for like:

  • How old do the roof, AC, and water heater look?
  • How is the location and price?
  • Is this a home I think you should consider or one I would pass on?

Of course, the decision is always yours. In fact, I’m often more focused on helping buyers avoid a mistake than pushing them into a home.

My goal isn’t just to help you buy a home – it’s to help you feel good about the decision you’re making.

READY TO TALK ABOUT YOUR PLANS?

Whether you’re buying soon or just want clarity about your options, I’m happy to talk things through.

There’s no pressure, or obligation. Just a straightforward conversation about what you’re looking for and how I can help.

I’ve Helped Hundreds of People Move To The Conejo Valley

Here’s what others have to say:

Pegah and Ramin Raven, both smiling and wearing red tops, sit close together in a kitchen. The woman has her arm around the man's shoulders, and they appear happy and affectionate.

Michael Rice, we can’t ever say enough, is the most professional, knowledgeable, and caring realtor we’ve ever dealt with. He has character, intelligence, integrity, sense of humor and most of all honesty.”

Craig & Rosa Chamides

A family of four sits on a bench outside, smiling like a happy Reviews Panel. Two boys sit between their mother, in a white sweater, and their father with glasses and a black vest. Green shrubs and trees frame the cheerful scene.

“He has a wealth of knowledge on the area and the industry in general and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He kept his cool when negotiating and always had our best interest at heart.

Cori & Jory Hirsh

A smiling family of three poses outdoors near a marina, with boats and directional signs in the background on a sunny day—celebrating buying a house, the parents stand on either side of their daughter, all close together and happy.

Hands down, Michael is at the top. We never felt any pressure, and he was always patient with us.  He made us feel as though we were his only client by giving us his time, his undivided attention, and being extremely responsive. He really went above and beyond any agent we have ever worked with.”
