One of the many nice things about Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks and the entire Conejo Valley is the nice restaurant and shopping centers we have here. Here are three of the most popular destinations to enjoy for a day or night out.

The Landing at the Lake in Westlake Village (map)

When the weather is nice, this is the place to go. There are three restaurants at The Landing that offer lakeside dining: Zins Bistro, The Landing Grill and Sushi Bar, and Boccaccio’s. Enjoying a dinner outside on a summer evening during sunset is the best. After dinner, go for a walk and watch the boats go by. I highly recommend it!

Westlake Promenade (map)

The Westlake Promenade is one of our most popular destinations in the Conejo Valley. There’s a little bit of everything here. There are some nice sit down restaurants like Marmelades, The Grill, and Farfalla. And then there’s everything in between from Fresh Brothers Pizza and Sprinkles Cupcakes. There are also boutique clothing stores, shops, Barnes and Nobles, and Cinepolis movie theater. During the Christmas season, the whole center is decorated with lights, a huge Christmas tree and a place for kids to take pictures with Santa.

The Lakes at Thousand Oaks (map)

The Lakes, also offers nice dining options like PF Changs and California Pizza Kitchen. The Lakes is great for little kids because it has a little playground area and pond with koi fish. There are also all sorts of activities for kids like magic shows, reptilian adventures and comedy shows. They even offer classes for adults like yoga and gardening. Check out their calendar and kids club for details. You’ll also find plenty of specialty shops here as well.

The Shoppes in Westlake Village (map)

Our newest center offers lots of dining options including Los Agaves Mexican, Q Sushi, Hook Burger, and of course In-N-Out. Plus, it’s home to my favorite – Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company. There’s also some Gelato if you’re in the mood.
